IMPORTANT TIP!
For a successful application of the skin, at any corner, curved edge, sides, we recommend using a hair dryer set on heat to soften the foil (each corner/side/edge separately) and for crease-free application.
Good to know:
If you need to stretch the foil, pull gently to stretch it. If you need to shorten, you can push back a bit. Use the hair dryer to seal the foil.
If you are having trouble adhering to a corner or curved area, use the hair dryer and the side of your finger to get the foil to adhere to the curved surface. If you applied incorrectly, peel off, reheat and try to apply again.
Steps:
- Wipe off all dirt, dust and fingerprints using the microfibre cloth provided.
- Identify the holes and cutouts in the film and know where they will fit on your device.
- Before removing the foil, place it face down on a flat surface. Next, remove the backing paper from the back. Later, you will use one side of the bracket to help you line it up on the device.
- Check to make sure the edges and cutouts will line up evenly on all sides. Take your time for perfect alignment before pressing the foil to adhere to the device. If you made a mistake, don't worry, peel it off carefully and readjust the foil.
- Once you are happy with the placement and the cutouts fit perfectly, you can press down the areas around these cutouts. Don't press the corners yet.
- Turn the hair dryer on the lowest setting. Blow near one corner of the foil to make it softer and more flexible. Starting from the inside, gently press down on the corner with your thumb to make sure the foil is positioned correctly. Follow these steps for all corners and curved areas. Before completing the installation, check the support, edges and corners for proper adhesion and readjust them as necessary.
